After lightly debating the ethics of the situation, I have decided to create a blog for my daughter, Nora. Also, it gives me a chance to use the domain name I registered for her about two minutes after deciding her name.
I've chosen to use Tumblr, which is a microblogging platform for which most of the posting can be automated via feeds from other services. So when I post a photo tagged 'Nora' on Flickr or post a video to YouTube, it will be sucked into her blog without me doing any extra work (this is key!). For those of you not smoking from the Twitter pipe yet, you can see her Twitter messages on her blog too. So far there hasn't been much unique content on her blog that hasn't appeared here as well, but there has been some, and there probably will be more in the future. Needless to say, you are encouraged to comment over there.
We're off to Mondragón for the weekend to celebrate Nora's great-grandfather's 89th birthday. She's giving him a framed copy of this photo.
