Today the weather was very nice and Nora wore a dress for the first time (if you don't count the baptism). I also filmed a favorite1 game of Nora's, which, for lack of a better name, I'll call Blanket Face. The gist of the game involves Marga throwing a blanket over Nora's face and then removing it. This "blindness quickly replaced by Mommy's loving face" provides the shock-relief cycle that is the basis of human laughter, and this activity elicits the closest thing Nora has to laughter.
On the changing table.
Somewhat smiling on the bed.
Looking good in Mommy's arms.
Blanket Face is not only a fun pastime, but also didactic about what to do if you see someone on fire!
1Excluding bath time or any activity involving fluids entering or leaving her body.
