Hot Air Balloons

November 20, 2006

I didn't do anything interesting this weekend. I've still got the tail end of my cold from the previous weekend, and I've been studying for my driver's test on Wednesday. I did find this great set of sample tests on the Dirección General de Tráfico's (like the Spanish DMV) page. Click on that link and select a test from the dropdown menu to see what kind of thing I'm up against. Those are actual questions taken from actual tests. How well could you do? I have to get 90% of the right to pass.

We watched Todo Sobre Mi Madre last night. The director, Pedro Almodóvar, is a strange man. The best thing about him is that he casts Penelope Cruz in all his movies. I don't think I would have understood much of the movie if it had been in English, so I didn't follow much at all in Spanish. My Spanish isn't fluent enough yet to understand complex plot shifts involving transvestite prostitutes.

For your entertainment, I give you a cool timelapse video of hot air balloons that I found recently. You gotta admit that it's a pretty cool video.

Check out how the moon moves throughout the video. It partially gave me the idea for my Moonrise video.
